Deck prep and shingle repair along Fort Street

Kincaide Roofing And Rejuvenation works on ranch homes, two-story houses, older additions, and mixed rooflines by planning the job around structure first. We look at how water leaves the roof, where valleys dump runoff, and which sections carry the most wear before we choose repair, replacement, or rejuvenation. That keeps the work tied to the building instead of forcing one fix on every house. On streets like Outer Drive, West Jefferson, and Biddle Avenue, that approach helps protect decking, reduce leak paths, and stretch the useful life of a roof without wasting material or labor.

  • Roof inspection
  • Roof repair
  • Roof replacement
  • Shingle repair
  • Roof rejuvenation
  • Emergency roof repair
  • Gutter installation and repair
  • Roof ventilation solutions
  • Roof coating and sealing

Homes off Fort Street, Southfield Road, and the Jefferson corridor need shingle work that respects pitch, attic heat, and deck condition. We judge brittle tabs, loose seal strips, and granule loss before choosing repair or rejuvenation. That keeps sound asphalt systems in service and stops hidden rot from spreading under the field.

In Southeast Michigan, 90% plus USDA bio-oils replace lost asphalt oils in dry shingles, restoring flex so tabs stop cracking at the seal line. The treatment helps granules stay embedded through freeze-thaw swings and summer heat. Qualified roofs carry a five-year transferable warranty.

Recent Roofing and Rejuvenation Staging in Southeast Michigan

Project pins off Fort Street and around Elizabeth Park match the roofs we document on site, where we check shingle lift, edge seal failure, and deck firmness before repair or rejuvenation. That field record ties back to Kincaide Roofing And Rejuvenation’s long local history: inspect first, fix only what the roof can still support.

Neighborhood Standards in Southeast Michigan

Homes off Fort Street, Southfield Road, and Jefferson need roof checks that read the shingles, not the sales pitch. We look at seal strip bite, ridge wear, and deck firmness before any rejuvenation call. That keeps older asphalt roofs working through freeze-thaw swings without hiding rot under brittle tabs.

Homeowners here choose Kincaide because we inspect the roof deck, seal strips, and shingle tabs before anyone talks replacement. That catches nail back-out, brittle asphalt, and hidden rot early. On older homes in Wyandotte, Trenton, and Southgate, that discipline keeps usable roofs in service and limits avoidable structural damage.

Kincaide did a phenomenal job fixing up my garage roof and siding. They also cleaned up the area after so my dog wouldn't get hurt. Everytime there was any issue found during installation, they provided picture evidence. They also were the best cost when compared to other companies. Highly recommend.

Kincaide roofing went above and beyond our expectations. Scott (the owner) took pictures of every step and fix he made. Believe me, there was a lot if fixing on my roof. They were punctual, thorough and very professional. No B.S. with Scott, the communication was straight forward and gave us briefings every night before they left. Thanks Kincaide

I can’t say enough good things about this company. Scott the owner walked me through the whole process from start to finish. They protected my house with boards during the job and did a fantastic job on clean up! All this and a fair price! They took good care of me being a widow. Highly recommend.

Roofing crew staging along Telegraph, Allen Road, and Van Horn for faster residential response

On jobs by Bishop Park, Elizabeth Park, and the Rouge River corridor, crews lay plywood runners before any bundle drops. We set tarps under the eaves, guard planting beds with boards, and use magnetic sweepers on driveways and walk paths. Tight lots need short staging moves. That keeps shingle debris off lawn edges and away from garage slabs.

Freeze-thaw, lake wind, and attic heat wear down asphalt shingles faster on streets like Fort Street, Southfield Road, and the Jefferson corridor.

Freeze-thaw in Southeast Michigan drives moisture into shingle laps and nail holes, then expands it against the deck. Over time, that movement breaks seal strips and pulls asphalt oils out of the mat. On roofs off Michigan Avenue, Eureka Road, and Dix Highway, tabs stiffen fast, crack at the bend line, and lose the flexibility rejuvenation is meant to restore.

Standards first. A roof only lasts when the deck, seal lines, and shingle condition get judged before anyone talks replacement.

Scott Kincaide, founder of Kincaide Roofing And Rejuvenation, learned early that a roof only holds up when the work behind it is honest. I still judge each roof by what the shingles, flashing, and deck are doing in real time, not by how clean the slope looks from the curb on streets like Ford Avenue or around the Southgate border.

Municipal permits, ladder safety, and roof access rules for property managers

  • Official Southeast Michigan Website: Use the city or township site for council notices, ordinance updates, and department contacts before you schedule roof access or material drop-off.
  • Building & Paving Permits: Check permit rules before a tear-off, deck repair, or reroof. Some jobs trigger inspection steps when crews need access through driveways, alleys, or shared approaches.
  • Underground Utility Safety (MissDig): Call MissDig before setting ladders, staging dumpsters, or anchoring equipment. Utility lines can run close to service walks, garage aprons, and side yards.

Residential Roofing & Rejuvenation details, repair methods, and roof inspection criteria for asphalt shingles

Use the detailed service pages to match the roof problem to the roof build. A ranch with lifted tabs and brittle seal lines needs different handling than a two-story with flashing wear or an older home that may still qualify for rejuvenation after inspection. Review the repair, replacement, inspection, shingle work, and ventilation pages, then compare them against what you see on streets like Eureka Road, Ford Avenue, and Allen Road before you decide how to move forward.
